Attitude Online Satlink is our High Speed One-Way Satellite service. Satlink increases the speed of your internet connection up to 20 times faster than standard dialup.

Attitude Online Satlink utilizes a dialup connection to upload (send) data to the internet while downloading (receive) using a satellite dish at speeds up to 800kbps.

Attitude Online Satlink will increase all downloads from the internet including previously compressed files such as MP3 and MPEGs.

Attitude Online Satlink requires a dialup account. Attitude Online will provide a standard dialup account to use the Satlink service, or, if you wish, you can use your current ISP as your dialup connection. NOTE: Attitude Online's Satlink service is NOT compatible with AOL dialup service.

Attitude Online Satlink ia available anywhere in North America or Southern Canada. Installation location must have a clear view to the Satellite. Direction of view varies by location Longitude and Latitude. Access is not available if view blocked by trees, buildings, mountains, etc. Please contact Attitude Online to verify viewing direction for availability. Attitude Online will provide dialup account where ever Attitude Online has access numbers. Outside Attitude Online dialup areas, customer is responsible for providing dialup access from a local ISP.

How It Works

  • You make a request to Internet via your modem and phone line to Attitude Online’s main processing center.
  • The information request is then sent to the Internet via Attitude Online’s Internet backbone connection.
  • The request then travels via the Internet to requested web site.
  • The requested web site information is sent to the Attitude Online Satlink Data Routing Uplink Center and NOT back to Attitude Online.
  • The requested web site information is uplinked to the Attitude Online Satlink satellite.
  • The requested web site information is received by the Attitude Online Satlink satellite reception kit installed at your home.

  • Equipment: Provided at no charge. Must be returned upon termination of service.

Reasonable Use Policy

Attitude Online’s Reasonable Use Policy (RUP) has been designed to give our Subscriber(s) an above average surfing experience that far exceeds the typical  subscriber(s) needs. Additionally, the RUP ensures that the Subscriber(s) all experience fair and equal access to the benefits of a satellite delivered broadband Internet access service. The RUP prevents the network from being congested by a handful of Subscriber(s) activities. However, Subscriber(s) that continually download large files, such as complete Operating Systems (e.g. Linux), will experience throughput limitations on a pro-rata basis over time until their average utilization returns to the levels expected from an individual residential user. The Attitude Online RUP will still allow for consumers of large amounts of bandwidth to complete their download of data. However, this type of Subscriber(s) will experience throughput speed reductions until such time that their usage conforms to average usage patterns of other Subscriber(s) within their same Attitude Online SatLink Services Plan.

Attitude Online reserves the right to adjust download limitations as required to ensure all users equal access to the provided high-speed download service and to make changes to the RUP as Attitude Online deems commercially necessary. The current RUP is based on cumulative usage over the previous five (5) day period. Usage tracking is currently based on the previous five (5) days cumulative total volume.
